Snow Joke

On the 23rd December 2009, we broke up for our Christmas holidays and there was snow all over the place and my useless car wouldn’t budge.

I decided to hire a small front wheel drive car that would get through the snow to enable me to get around over the Christmas period and in particular, to fetch my Son, Aaron from Ashby de la Zouch and get to Teresa‘s, my girlfriend.

I hired a car for 6 days but with more snow falling, I had to extend the hire until yesterday, 4th January 2010, at which time there was more snow which again forced me to extend the hire a second time for another week.

I couldn’t believe it when I got up this morning and saw how much more snow was falling.

My car stranded in snow

My car has already been stranded for two weeks and it’s costing me over a hundred quid a week to hire car from enterprise that will get through the snow.

Now, there is so much snow,  I’m stuck at home and my Management staff at Everseal-ConservatoryLand have sent most of the workforce home.

My main concerns are our conservatory delivery vans that may be struggling getting to our customers and how our payroll staff are going to get in to work over the next few days to process everyone’s wages.

Looking on the bright side, there will be lots of potential conservatory customers stuck at home today, just browsing around the internet looking for conservatories.

Oh, and at least my dog Dylan is enjoying it as you can see in the following video I shot when a stray dog jumped over the hedge in to my garden this morning.
